Project of the month: A Blink of an Eye
Three perceptions of only one truth - hers, his and ours: A woman walks home at night. She is overwhelmed from behind by a stranger. He grabs her and tries to rip off her clothes. They fight. The point of view switches between man and woman. Reality and fears blur into each other. A new point of view is involved: eyewitnesses who live in surrounding houses. They look down to an escaping perpetrator and a helpless victim. But for the woman herself this situation is not so clear.
A Blink of an Eye is told from multiple perspectives. This is important to show that SHE is walking on the street. HE sees her and decides to commit a crime. WE see a woman alone on the street at night and she is raped because of it. It could be any other woman in such a situation. The perpetrator alone is responsible. Unfortunately, society continues to blame those who suffer.

Director Kiana Naghshineh
Kiana Naghshineh is a German - Iranian director. During her studies at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg she realized several award-winning films and was nominated for the Student Academy, Student BAFTA and the Annie Award, among others. She works freelance as a designer and animator for feature film and series productions. In her own films, she uses the versatile possibilities of animation to portray complex emotions and bring heavy topics to the audience. With this motivation she develops her new short film GIRL . DOG . CANCER . SPACE (WT).
