The hallways of Animationsinstitut remain empty in the new year. The Corona pandemic still has the world firmly in its grip confronting us all with new challenges every day. While the workstations on campus are cleared, the students continue the current semester from their home offices. Classes routinely take place on virtual platforms, project work gets by without physical meetings thanks to digital workflows and tools, and we are almost getting used to the coffee breaks in Zoom.
To be "under one roof" again and for a little feeling of togetherness in these special times, the student council of Animationsinstitut started the initiative Together at Home. Artistic contributions of Animationsinstitut’s students and employees were put together like rooms in one big house. The individual rooms are filled with colorful drawings or photos, which, sometimes more sometimes less abstract, provide insights into the individual lockdown experience. The result is now on display as a poster in the entrance area and hallways of Animationsinstitut.
Big thank you to all who participated, to Animationsinstitut’s student council and especially to Damaris Zielke, Michael Bohnenstingl and Julia Skala, who initiated this wonderful project.
