THE PANIC INSIDE

Jacob, a relentless people-pleaser, keeps saying yes until the pressure pushes him into a panic attack that pulls him into a higher realm. There, Theo, a dark being who always repairs the damage stress does to Jacob’s body, forces him to heal himself from within. He struggles, until Theo finally steps in to help him. After healing his body, Jacob realizes Theo is exhausted too and that they share the same struggle. Back home, as the walls and ceiling collapse and rain pours in, Jacob finally says no to a favor. His phone dies from the water, but he keeps smiling, finally feeling free.

MATTHIAS STRASSER

Matthias Strasser is a Swiss animator passionate about telling emotionally resonant stories through raw, expressive visuals. After completing an internship in film and video production and studying film, he went on to study animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, specializing in directing.

With a background in teaching and a Master's degree in education Minja started her study at Animationsinstitut in 2023. Specializing in 3D character animation she contributed to many different animation and VFX projects at Animationsinstitut. During her Diploma year she was the 3D Lead Animator of the project "The Panic Inside".

2D Character Animator & Storyboard Artist

MELANIE SCHNAIDT

After training in graphic design and working at Studio 88 Melanie began studying at the Animationsinstitut. With a strong storyboard background she quickly moved into 2D animation focusing on body dynamics. Refining her skills later on in Luzern at LumAA.
