Urte Zintler, animator, author and draftswoman, has been working in the industry as a character animator since the mid-1990s and uses a wide range of styles and techniques to shape the most diverse areas of the animation landscape as an animator. She works on feature films with animation, computer animation and analogue oil-on-glass animation, as well as on TV series, short films and commercials, mainly as a character animator and supervisor.
Urte Zintler has been working as a freelance lecturer for character animation for several years and gives courses on animation-related topics at various universities, including Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, the Kunsthochschule Kassel and Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe.
After her training in classical animation at LTAM in Luxembourg, she studied animation film at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and UCA Farnham in England and free graphics at the HGB Leipzig.
In 2015 she founded the studio "Federfisch Animation" in Leipzig, a free space where she can live the balancing act between art and commerce. Her award-winning animated short films Die Gedanken sind frei and Leerstelle were shown at numerous international festivals. Her artistic work is characterized by a minimalist, sensitive design, which despite all its simplicity develops a great intensity and impressionability.
