Prof. Juri Stanossek

Prof. Juri Stanossek started his career in 1994 and has over 20 years of experience in the visual effects industry. In 1998 he became a VFX Supervisor for the first time, since 2013 he has been working for Mackevision (1) as a VFX Supervisor. With his excellent expertise he is responsible for visual effects in productions like Schellen Ursli (2015), Independence Day (2016), Jim Knopf (2018) and Lost in Space (2018). He has also created award-winning commercials for the industry. For example, the Porsche concept study Mission E 2017 was awarded the Golden Dolphin in Cannes.

From 2008 to 2013, Juri Stanossek was a VFX Supervisor at Pixomondo Stuttgart, where he supervised productions such as Hindenburg (2011), Hugo Cabret (2011), Game of Thrones (2012) and Rush (2013). Hugo Cabret, where Juri Stanossek designed several sequences as the Division Supervisor with his team, was awarded an Oscar in 2012. His work on the second season of Game of Thrones received both an Emmy Award and an award from the renowned American organization "Visual Effects Society".

Since 2010 Prof. Juri Stanossek has been a guest lecturer at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. In 2017 he was appointed honorary professor by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts Baden-Württemberg. The title was awarded to a total of eight long-standing guest lecturers who have rendered outstanding services to the Filmakademie.
